Indirect Office Lighting

Friday, January 15th, 2010

The Mater Hospital in Phibsboro, Dublin partly consists of older Georgian Buildings. By their nature, it is difficult to provide modern lighting systems and some of the offices required a lighting upgrade.

The Connaught Uplighter solved the problem as it only used the existing ceiling wiring point. A high illumination is achieved with the 6 x 55w T5 lamps, providing a bright ceiling which indirectly lights the room, without glare and with good uniformity.  A circular Fluorescent lamp illuminates the Bowl itself and an emergency option is available. The Connaught was specified by Engineers Jacobs.

This architectural Uplighter is ideal in offices, hotels, restaurants, banks, churches, libraries and historic buildings, typically with ceiling heights between 5 and 10m.
