The Car park lighting and general external amenity lighting at Dublin Airport has seen significant development over recent years, especially with the extension of Terminal 1 and the opening of the new Terminal 2 in November 2010.
As part of this, the parking for the airport Bus Station area has been upgraded with Supralite Luminaires and the parking area for the Courtesy Bus area (shown in photograph) has been relocated and Optra luminaires have been installed.
The Optra has the advantage of providing high light levels with good uniformity and wide Pole spacings (which minimise clutter and installation costs). The Optra also has superior glare control and flat glass optics to minimise light spill.
A mini version has recently been introduced for LED external amenity lighting.
Also around the airport, the Street lighting has recently been upgraded with Origin Luminaires specified by Arup Engineers and one of the large Hangars has recently been refurbished with IL Series HighBays.
