Architectural Lighting Column

An Architectural lighting column scheme was a requirement at Ashtown village town centre, a suburb in West Dublin. This is a new town centre built around the nearby DART station. Instead of using a standard road lighting system, the planners wanted to combine the lighting with a feature.

The forked columns provided include some floodlights for local illumination and give the new centre a distinctive appearance.  The floodlights are typically 100w Metal Halide or 50w LED.  These columns can be supplied in flanged or rooted version.  An access door for the fuse and wiring is provided near ground level.  These feature columns are typically 9m height.  As these lighting columns are bespoke products, made to order, they can be adjusted to suit requirements.  Typical finish is black or an architectural grey, but most RALs are available.

Projects suitable for feature lighting such as architectural lighting columns include town centres, plaza lighting, entrance area lighting to shopping centres or large retail stores, university concourse areas, etc.

As well as architectural lighting columns, we also offer constant diameter lighting columns, tubular lighting columns, octagonal lighting columns, conical lighting columns as well as curved lighting columns and stainless steel lighting columns. All columns are galvanised for protection with an optional paint finish if required.  This finish can be in different RALs although black and light grey RAL 9006 are most common.  Anti-graffiti paint is also an option.
