Car Park Lighting upgraded

Tesco has completed an LED upgrade to External Lights at its Tramore, Co Waterford store.  The older 600w HPS fittings were replaced with VeeLite SupraLED 495w Area Lights which provide crisp white light.  Energy and Maintenance costs are reduced.  Five Luminaires were supplied for this L shaped car park and installed on existing lighting poles.

Car Park Lighting

An advantage of these specialised Car Park Lights (or Area Lights) is that 1 Luminaire will typically illuminate an area of 50M x 50M which results in significantly less Poles (plus less Concrete Bases, underground wiring, etc) and less luminaires (saving further Energy and Maintenance).  As a result, there is more usable spaces in the car park (as typically each Pole would result in a lost space).  In appearance, the lack of column clutter is an advantage.  These Area Lights are suitable for new Projects or for retrofits requiring an LED upgrade to External Lights.

Tesco joins other major retailers who have installed these Car Park Lights including LIDL, Powercity, Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, Frascati Shopping Centre, etc and a range of Industrial and Pharma Companies including Microsoft, MSD, Pfizer, Analogue, Irish Rail, National Roads Authority, etc.
