Carrigart Church in County Donegal was upgraded with new LED external lighting in 2015. Carrigart is a 30 minute Drive north of Letterkenny.
All around the Church, at the Base of the Walls are small LED Groundlights. The small size means they are almost unnoticeable during day time. When dusk arrives, they initially act as pathmarkers and as the night gets darker, they become more prominent and illuminate the attractive facades of this attractive Church Building. Because of the circumstances and using small wattage LED luminaires, the electricity cost of floodlighting the Church costs less than 2 cent per hour.
There is also some LED Streetlighting installed on Poles. These are only turned at at certain peak times, when there is pedestrian and car traffic, usually when there is a Church service.
In addition to the illumination of the Church Facades, the car park and pathways around the Building, there is also small Spot Floodlights provided to illuminate the Signs.
To get the optimum design for this Project, VeeLite visited the site with different types of Floodlights. Site visits and lighting surveys are used for demonstration purposes with the customer to help decide which Products would be used, locations, Beam types, etc. VeeLite offer a wide range of in-ground Floodlights as well as conventional Floodlights.
