The Greyhound Stadium lighting at Dundalk was supplied following similar successful schemes at both Cork and Galway Greyhound Stadium. High illumination levels with good quality white light and good uniformity are basic requirements for Sports lighting Projects.
With only 1 Luminaire per Column, the scheme has an absence of clutter. To avoid the Poles causing obstructions on the Home Run, the Poles on this length are located on the inside of the Track with long reach brackets so that the Luminaires are on the Stand side. Directly in front of the Stand Building, the lighting consists of Floodlights located on the Stand itself and there are no Poles.
In late 2010, another Greyhound Stadium lighting Project was supplied, this time for the new Limerick facility.
The Excelite is also available with a highly efficient Street light optic suitable for street or carpark applications.
