Warehouse Lighting

The warehouse lighting at Dairygold in Cork required that the aisles be illuminated with high output Racklyter luminaires.

Designed for medium to high bay applications up to 15m, these  luminaires have long life T5 lamps which provide an average of 20,000 hours life.  Each fitting has an integral occupancy sensors so they switch on instantly when someone passes underneath.  The adjustable time delay setting ensures the luminaires stay on until the aisle underneath has been vacant for a preset time.

In a typical warehouse lighting scheme of (say) 20 aisles and a staff of 4, the lighting is not required in an individual aisle at least 80% of the time (or more, if 2 staff are working in the same aisle).   With occupancy control, the result is that the warehouse lighting in each aisle switched off for most of the day.

The energy savings and payback are very significant and can typically provide 6 to 12 month payback on electricity costs.   Options include narrow beam reflector, wide beam reflector, emergency, open or sealed optics, suspended or surface mounted version, and integral or remote sensors.

Ideal for use in warehouse aisles, industrial or retail open areas, sports halls, garages, canteens, power stations, hangars, etc. Similar installations include ABB, Johnson & Johnson, Merck Sharpe & Dohme, Glanbia, Cork Institute of Technology, etc.  For the open areas or loading bay areas, Light.ie offer different luminaires suitable for such applications.
