Workshop Lighting

The Workshop lighting scheme at the FAS Training Facility in Waterford uses modern T5 electronic lighting.

Workshop lighting would usually deteriorate quickly because of dust/ dirt in the atmosphere.  These Racklyters have dust-tight optics to prevent this loss of light.  At the same time, they have vented gear sections to ensure the electronic gear remains cold and to achieve longer component life.

Unlike traditional (T8) Fluorescents, these Luminaires can punch more light downwards and with no flicker, they are better for eyesight and cause less fatigue and eye strain.  Lamp life is an average of 20,000 hours, so maintenance/relamping is also reduced.

In areas where there is little movement of traffic, such as Warehouse Aisles or Corridors, the Luminaire can be supplied with an integral Occupancy Sensor so the lighting is switched down when it is not required.
