The car park lighting is substantial at the large Bio-pharmaceutical Facility for Pfizer (Wyeth) site at Grangecastle, Dublin. This Plant cost $2.5 Billion to construct and uses the highly efficient Supralite car park Luminaires. Also supplied to this site were Street lighting Luminaires, decorative and functional Bollards, Warehouse lighting and Internal office lighting.
Specified by leading Engineering Consultants Jacobs, the Supralites have the economic advantage that only 4 are needed to illuminate an area of approx 100m by 100m. This provides a saving on Luminaires as well as on Poles, installation (Bases, trenching, wiring, etc) and every year on energy and maintenance. The small number of Luminaires needed also ensures that there is more spaces available for parking and the overall appearance is enhanced by a lack of column clutter.
Typically installed on 5-10m lighting columns, the Supralite provides a square distribution pattern in car park lighting. This ensures the usual black spots with a regular array of lighting Poles is eliminated. We usually supply the lighting columns on new Projects so as to ensure compatibility between Pole and Luminaire and that the Pole is robust enough for the location. We offer tubular, conical, octagonal and constant Diameter lighting columns, which can be altered to add brackets for security cameras or other features. Lighting columns can be supplied with different RAL finishes on request. (All lighting columns are galvanised to protect against corrosion).
The Supralite is a functional luminaire which provides good light levels at minimum Project cost. We also offer an Architectural version called the Optra. This is available in different sizes and with LED optics.
