LED Street lights

Recent extensions at 2 Dublin Hospitals used VeeLites low profile ‘StreetLed’ luminaires.   These 90w LED Street lights on 5m Poles provide excellent light distribution to comply with road lighting standards with low glare and high efficiency.  Light levels are approx 30 Lux average with 30% uniformity. Both access roads and adjoining Car park areas are illuminated.

These LED street lights are available in several different wattages from 14w to 138w LED and in 3 different sizes. The Mastfitter supplied with the Luminaire can be to suit either 60mm Poles or 76mm Poles and allow tilt on site. The Mastfitter can also be tilted 90 degrees to fit a Wall outreach.

The high quality white light colour emitted has significant advantages over traditional HPS street lighting as it enables clear ‘daylight type’ recognition of colours which helps to identify Pedestrians, objects, etc.  LED lighting also minimises maintenance and relamping with its expected life of 60,000 hours average (or typically 16 years).  This is double the life time of HPS and 3 or 4 times  the lifetime of Metal Halide.

LED Street lights

As an option, LED Street lights can also be controlled by Occupancy Sensor to provide significant energy saving and switching off when it is not required.   Frequent switching is not a problem with LED lighting but is not possible with traditional HPS or Metal Halide lighting.

VeeLite can compliment LED Street lights with LED Carpark Luminaires, LED Groundlights and LED Bollard lighting.
